Editorial Policy

BrightBharat's mission is to publish calm, positive-tone, factually careful daily briefs on India — for Indian readers, the diaspora, and global readers interested in India's growth story.

1. Sourcing

Every published brief is anchored to at least one identifiable source. Sources are chosen from a curated list including official government releases (PIB, MEA), reputable Indian mainstream media (The Hindu, Livemint), and established startup/business publications (YourStory, Inc42, Entrackr, The Better India). We do not source from anonymous accounts, unverified user-generated content, or partisan advocacy sites.

2. Drafting

Drafts are generated with the assistance of large language models under the editorial prompt "positive, diplomatic, factually careful, non-sensational". The model is instructed to stay anchored to the supplied source material and to avoid inventing figures, names, or events.

3. AI review before publishing

Every draft is scored by a separate AI review agent on four dimensions:

• Positive / diplomatic tone
• Factual consistency with source material
• Brand safety (no hate, incitement, extreme partisan framing)
• Non-duplicate (freshness)

Drafts scoring ≥ 0.75 overall and clearing minimum thresholds on brand safety and tone are auto-published. Everything else is held in the admin queue for human review before publication or rejection.

4. Human oversight

The admin team can override any published article, mark it for correction, or take it down at any time. Sensitive topics (national security, religious tensions, ongoing legal cases) are routed to human review by default and are not eligible for auto-publish.

5. Positive framing — not spin

We frame stories in a constructive, opportunity-first tone, but we do not fabricate positivity or omit legitimate concerns. If a story cannot be told honestly with a positive frame, we do not publish it.

6. Politics

BrightBharat covers policy and governance events but stays away from partisan framing, opinion pieces on individual politicians, and election horse-race coverage. Where policy has clear positive outcomes worth reporting, we cover it, attribution-neutral.

7. Advertising and sponsorship

Sponsored features, when present, are clearly labelled "Sponsored" and are held to the same tone and factuality standards. Editorial content is never influenced by advertisers.

8. Independence

BrightBharat has no political affiliation. We do not accept content briefs from government agencies or political parties. Coverage decisions rest entirely with the editorial team.
